WTC MOSQUE OR MECCA WTC

BANZAI 7--Instead of championing a mosque in lower Manhattan, why doesn't Mayor Bloomberg offer to personally provide seed financing for a foundation to construct a World Trade Center memorial in Mecca? Call it a symbol of reconciliation and healing.

Given his terrific track record in reconstructing lower Manhattan and Ground Zero (not), we could expect the new Mecca Ground Zero memorial to be finished by at least 2101, just around the corner from the Masjid al Haram.

Once again, the WTC site has proven to be a metaphor for everything that is wrong with America today.

Rest assured, the world looks at that hollow WTC construction site and shakes its head wondering if this can be the mighty country that purports to lead the free world.
