TOYOTA ENLISTS JAKE AND ELWOOD BLUES

BANZAI7 NEWS--It was like an action movie. NBC San Diego is reporting that California Highway Patrol officers today used their patrol car to be the brakes for a runaway Toyota Prius on Interstate 8.

CHP spokesman Eric Estrada said that the Prius, driven by a well known country western band, "The Good Old Boys", was headed eastbound at high speed with a stuck accelerator. He said officers moved the cruiser in front of the Prius and used the CHP car's brakes to bring it to a stop.

The Prius involved was of the generation covered by Toyota's recall for floor mats that can jam the gas pedal.

Mr. Toyoda announced that he has enlisted two well known automotive safety experts, Jake and Elwood  Blues, to assist it in wectifying (that's rectifying)  Toyota's design headaches.
Blessed Acceleration
