KARAOKE DIPLOMACY

BANZAI7 NEWS--Celebrity socialite Paris Hilton was held for questioning by officials at Tokyo airport on Tuesday where she had flown for business one day after pleading guilty to possessing cocaine in Las Vegas.

Immigration officials at the Narita International Airport detained Hilton for hours after her chartered plane landed there, and then asked Hilton to stay overnight at an airport karaoke hotel for more English conversation practice and singing before allowing her to enter the country, according to Japanese media reports.

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, a Paris Hilton karaoke fan, says his country will take "further actions" if Japan does not immediately and unconditionally release Hilton.

"If Japan clings to its mistake, China will take further actions, and the Japanese side shall bear all the musical consequences that arise," the angry Wen said.
