BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY

BANZAI7 NEWS--More than one-quarter of U.S. households don't regularly use a bank account, according to a survey released Wednesday by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.

According to the most comprehensive study of the nation's unbanked and underbanked population, 25.6% of households--nearly 30 million people--either don't have a bank account or have one but regularly use alternative financial services, such as payday loans, instead. The U.S. Census Bureau conducted the study of 54,000 households for the FDIC earlier this year.

  1. Right now, a hole in the back yard almost seems like a safer place.
