BANZAI7 NEWS-- Yum Brands Inc.'s fiscal third-quarter earnings rose 18% as lower costs helped the restaurateur post strong profit growth in the U.S. and China.
The company, which owns the KFC brand, also raised its fiscal 2009 earnings growth forecast by two percentage points, saying it now expects 12% growth excluding unusual items to $2.14 a share, as a result of strong growth in China and a lower-than-expected tax rate.
